Q: What is the difference between a right hair part and a left hair part?
A: The two pictures below show the difference between a right and left hair part. We define part by looking at the child's face: is the part "line" itself on the right or left as you are looking at the child's face? The girl below pouring tea is a left part while the girl in the pink sweater is a right part.

Q: Why do you need to know about hair parts for the Traditional-Style bow?
A: We want to make sure that if the bow recipient parts her hair a certain way, her Traditional-style Charlotte's Bows, as well as bows that have sewn on buttons, will hang correctly, with the legs hanging down. If the child's part changes depending on mood, or the bow/s will be clipped in front of pigtails or a ponytail, select the "doesn't matter" option.

Q: Can I have Charlotte's Bows custom make a bow to match my child's outfit?
A: You betcha! Some of our favorite bows have been YOUR ideas! Just shoot us an e-mail with a description of what you're looking for and/or a true-color photo of the fabric you're looking to match and we'll get to work on some great options!

Q: What's a clippie?
A: The hardware used for Charlotte's Bows products, commonly called a "clippie," is a single-prong curl clip (see photo). The metal sides are smooth, no teeth involved, and will not irritate your child's scalp. We use only the highest-quality hardware on our bows, so you'll find that even if some clippie bows have failed to heartily grip your child's hair in the past, ours will control most hair types.

All of our bows are attached to clippies, which securely hold baby-fine hair, as well as manage growing toddler mops and look adorable adorning ponytails and pigtails, clipped in front of the elastic band! We couldn't find a site on the Net that offered as wide of a variety of clippies that Charlotte's Bows does!

Q: Is a Charlotte's Bow safe for my baby or toddler to put in her mouth?
A: As any responsible parent or guardian knows, it is crucial to keep all small objects out of a small child's mouth as they pose a potential choking hazard. While Charlotte's Bows can't be there to keep an eagle eye on your little one, we have taken the additional step of ensuring the high-quality glue used on all bows is non-toxic and intended especially for ribbon work.

You will receive an email confirmation upon payment for your records. The purchase will appear on your credit card statement as "PAYPAL *CHARLOTTESB".
